If you’ve somehow managed to avoid getting in your feels—or at least a few goosebumps—from a Teddy Swims song, that streak might end this summer.

The genre-blurring soul powerhouse is headed to Washington, D.C. for two nights at The Anthem on July 16 and 17, riding the wave of a career-defining run and a 32-track mega-album set to drop just weeks before he hits the stage.

I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Complete Edition), due out June 27, brings together both volumes of Swims’ debut project—Part 1 (2023) and Part 2 2024)—with six new songs, including the just-released single “God Went Crazy.” The track, a sweeping tribute to love that feels fated, marks the start of a new chapter for Swims, who says the song is about that rare moment when someone "just feels like home."

Also featured on the Complete Edition are “Need You More,” “Free Drugs,” “Dancing with Your Ghost,” “All Gas No Breaks,” and “Small Hands,” a track featuring Swims’ partner, Raiche. The two are expecting their first child on Father’s Day. Add in fan favorites like “Bad Dreams,” “The Door,” “Are You Even Real,” and the record-breaking hit “Lose Control,” which has been on the Hot 100 for 93 weeks, longer than any other song in history.

Swims, born Jaten Dimsdale in Conyers, Georgia, came up through a wide mix of musical influences, including gospel from his Pentecostal upbringing, soul and R&B from his father’s record collection, and the grit of Atlanta’s local rock scene. He first gained attention through a string of viral YouTube covers before signing to Warner Records in 2019. That versatility still shapes his catalog today as his voice moves fluidly between genres.

Swims’ music often leans into emotional transparency; themes of heartbreak, addiction, growth, and healing recur across both volumes of I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy. The original title was more than just a clever line — Swims has said it reflected a turning point, as he committed to finally starting therapy after the project was finished. In many ways, the Complete Edition is a full-circle moment: closing one chapter and opening another, both personally and musically.

With his voice, his vulnerability, and now a 32-song arsenal, Swims is setting the tone for a summer of loud feelings and sold-out shows in D.C.
